Au base-ball, sport national aux USA, le but du batteur est d'envoyer la balle au-dela des limites du terrain et ce coup s'appelle un "home-run" ou grand chelem. Il permet au batteur et tous les courreurs se trouvant sur le terrain de marquer un maximum de point.
